Minimalistic cabinet design always includes clean lines, but expect to see even more lines in the kitchen in the form of fine-grain woods, geometric patterns, and angular design on faucets and appliances.
Bold Colors and Variations
Bold colors are a risk in kitchen design because you can’t be sure how long a particular color will avoid looking dated. However, we’ve lately seen bold color make its way back into the kitchen—and not just as an accent color.

Shaker-Style Cabinets
From 2021 to 2022, Shaker-style kitchen cabinets jumped 8 points according to Houzz, with 64 percent of home remodelers now opting for this style of cabinet for transitional home decor style. The second-most popular style, flat-panel cabinets, trails way behind with only 17 percent.
